THEIR STORY: KOPI KALYAN
Expanding without franchising, at their own pace
Co-founded by three best friends—Iman, Dicky, and Putri—Kopikalyan was built to serve good coffee and food while actively supporting Indonesian farming families through sustainable sourcing. Combining their expertise in finance, architecture, and operations, they grew the brand into four thriving outlets spanning Jakarta to Tokyo.

By 2021, they were ready to scale but faced a common F&B dilemma. Traditional investors often demand rapid, misaligned expansion while franchising risks diluting a brand's unique culture and quality. The founders needed another path.

We believe brands succeed because of the founders' passion. From the start, we build relationships as friends and partners, focusing on the owner's vision. With Kopi Kalyan, we started by backing the Wijaya branch and over time grew to support their Menteng and Surabaya expansions.

Today, whenever they are ready to open a new branch, we are ready to back them up. We stay close as a thinking partner as the business develops, giving them clarity and control so they can continue to grow on their own terms.
