Shaping a sustainable direction forward, beyond rapid expansion
More than a decade ago, Sugiarto started Scuto with a small operation, yet the response grew far beyond what he imagined. As the brand reached new cities, the challenge shifted from finding demand to keeping the experience consistent across hundreds of hands. Early momentum is exciting, but it often exposes parts of a business that need a stronger foundation.

That realization led the owners to rethink how Scuto should operate. Balancing franchise partners with company-owned outlets became a way to maintain both flexibility and control. It was less about blind expansion and more about making sure the business stayed true to what they wanted it to be.

In the process, we worked with Sugiarto and his partners to back their new branches without straining day-to-day cash, while staying close to discuss about their strategic path forward. The openings in Cengkareng, Depok, and Medan came from this collaborative way of expanding. Whenever they are ready for the next location, we are ready to back them.
